Event Registration

Some Spring migrants have arrived and more are arriving this time of year. We’ll be looking and listening for birds setting up their territories and beginning nesting activity. We'll walk 2-3 miles on mostly level trails at an easy pace. The trip plan includes visiting several habitats, mixed grasses on prairie above the lake, open water on the lake and the riparian area along Bear Creek. There will be good possibilities to see songbirds, raptors, water birds. Good trip for beginning and novice birders. Parks pass is required. This is not a State Park but has its own pass. Day passes can be purchased at the entrance. The price is $10 per vehicle and $5.00 for seniors
