Summary
October is a great time of year to spot bird migrants! Students learn about animal classification, unique characteristics of birds, and how to use field marks and sounds to identify birds. Using a collection of photos, study skins and a field guide, the students practice their skills before hitting the trail to spot the birds that visit Chatfield on their migration south.
